The Dailey Method Encourages Vancouverites to Stay Active and Feel Good this Holiday Season

Vancouver-based The Dailey Method Owners Karen and Jey Wyder Support Wellness with Addition of New Workouts to Gear Up for 2016

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 15, 2015) - Open since 2010, The Dailey Method Vancouver is encouraging the community to stay active and feel good this holiday season, helping to lead us all into a healthy 2016. With a focus on wellness, The Dailey Method is introducing new practices to the studio such as The MELT Method and Dailey Cycle, and of course keeping with trademark classes Dailey Barre, Dailey Interval and Dailey Basics. Balance, alignment and overall wellness are the focus at The Dailey Method this holiday season. Vancouver-based owners Karen and Jey Wyder, along with a team of trained instructors, are in-studio daily giving clients individualized attention to help improve practice and form. The Dailey Method currently has two Vancouver locations: 3584 West 41st Avenue, Dunbar Village and 1735 W. 4th Avenue in Kitsilano.

Karen and Jey Wyder both fell in love with The Dailey Method upon first trying the workout. Karen, a fitness guru and Jey, a loyal yogi, both found that The Dailey Method's practices offered the best results in the most efficient manner and immediately noticed feeling better after their first class. Karen and Jey knew they had to take The Dailey Method to Canada and opened their first studio in Dunbar Village in 2010 with their second opening in Kitsilano in 2015.

"I had tried so many different workouts and nothing got results as safely or as efficiently," said Karen Wyder, owner at The Dailey Method Vancouver. "Practicing at The Dailey Method helped resolve the pain in my lower back and knees and helped me shrink two dress sizes. I was travelling a lot for work at the time and knew I had to bring The Dailey Method to Canada. Since both Jey and I are based in Vancouver, the city was a natural fit."

New to The Dailey Method Vancouver, The MELT Method is a new self-treatment technique targeting people with chronic pain. The MELT Method focuses on rehydrating the muscle's connective tissue and balancing the nervous system, ultimately decreasing the stress that builds up in the body on a daily basis. The class is suited as an accompaniment to other barre workouts, helping to bring the body back to an ideal state. Clients who practice The MELT Method say they notice results after the first class. Dailey Cycle is another new addition to The Dailey Method's Vancouver studios. Dailey Cycle focuses on alignment and form combined with the cardiovascular benefits of cycling. The workout includes 30 minutes of cycling and 30 minutes of upper body workouts, core workouts and stretching.

"At The Dailey Method Vancouver we want to help clients and our The Dailey Method community feel good and feel better, which is why we focus on mind and body," said Jey Wyder, owner at The Dailey Method Vancouver. "The MELT Method and Dailey Cycle reflect our desire to do just that, and we're seeing such positive results and getting great feedback from our clients."

The Dailey Method Vancouver offers a variety of classes for clients of all ages and fitness levels. The Dailey Method Vancouver's trademark class, Dailey Barre combines ballet barre work, core conditioning, stretching and orthopedic exercises. The class is designed to lengthen and tone the entire body while creating ultimate alignment. Dailey Interval is a 45-minute fast-paced interval class combining periods of high and low intensity for optimal cardiovascular results. Dailey Basics is an introductory class ideal for new clients. The class teaches new members basic alignment principles integral to The Dailey Method's practice. Additionally, Dailey Gentle is a calming introductory class for beginners also learning The Dailey Method's alignment principles. As owners and sisters, Karen and Jey Wyder believe in the power of community and hope to help others looking to achieve balance in their life. Every instructor is armed with a deep understanding of the human anatomy and welcomes clients of all levels to practice The Dailey Method.
