Dalradian Commences Environmental Baseline Studies at Curraghinalt

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 10, 2011) - Dalradian Resources Inc. ("Dalradian" or the "Company") (TSX:DNA)(TSX:DNA.WT) has selected SLR Consulting Ltd. ("SLR"), international environmental consultants, to conduct an environmental baseline study at its Curraghinalt gold deposit in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. SLR, which is independent of Dalradian, will start the study in February 2011, and expects to complete it in the third quarter of 2012. The study's data will provide a basis for an environmental and social impact assessment of Curraghinalt.

"Our goal is to work with SLR to complete one of the best environmental baseline studies of the extractive industry in Northern Ireland," said Patrick F. N. Anderson, Dalradian's chairman and chief executive officer. "Based on its successful performance on previous projects, we have the upmost confidence that SLR will complete this project to a very high standard."

SLR has completed numerous high intensity environmental baseline studies. In Northern Ireland, SLR was the planning, environmental and technical advisor to the Irish Salt Mining and Exploration Company Ltd. for its Kilroot Underground Salt Mine. It prepared and submitted an application and environmental statement to the Planning Service of Northern Ireland in September 2009 requesting an extension to the existing mine, one of the most extensive applications ever submitted in Northern Ireland. In granting permission for the extension, the Planning Service complemented SLR on the quality of its application.
