Dane Glasgow Unveils Neoglyphic Entertainment

CEO, Serial Entrepreneur and Technology Veteran Vows to Transform the Entertainment Publishing Industry

CAMPBELL, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 3, 2016) - Dane Glasgow, serial entrepreneur and technology veteran, today announced his latest venture, Neoglyphic Entertainment, a storytelling company built for the digital age. Glasgow, one of four co-founders, serves as CEO and is creating a new entertainment pipeline to transform stories into hit franchises at a fraction of traditional production cost.

By marrying art and science, Neoglyphic aims to revolutionize content creation and discovery in the entertainment industry. "Fans today want to experience their favorite stories and characters across all types of media including books, movies, online videos, games, and now virtual and augmented reality," said Glasgow.

"For storytellers it's a simple equation: you can reach more fans if you're on more platforms," Glasgow explained. "Until now creating high-quality entertainment franchises has been prohibitively expensive and their success has been highly uncertain. High risk and high cost limit creativity -- we see the same story time and time again. Neoglyphic is rethinking how great stories are found, developed and produced, so that storytellers throughout the world will have a vibrant, but cost-effective way, to delight their fans across many mediums."

To achieve its goals, Neoglyphic has put together a world class team that "exemplifies the perfect marriage of creative and technical talent required to reinvent the $500 billion rendered entertainment industry, including animation, books, video games, and AR/VR," added Glasgow. Neoglyphic will utilize its advanced technologies in the fields of data science and real-time 3D development to help creators find, develop and scale hits. The team hails from a broad range of technology and entertainment companies, such as Microsoft, eBay, Google, Cryptic Studios, Weta and Paramount.

Prior to Neoglyphic Entertainment, Glasgow built a number of successful businesses across entertainment, communications, search, finance, and commerce. He most recently held senior positions at eBay, Inc. including vice president, mobile and local for eBay Marketplaces where he was responsible for delivering the experiences, technology and general management that helped propel eBay's multi-billion dollar mobile business. Glasgow joined eBay through its acquisition of Positronic, Inc., a data science and machine learning company in the finance sector that he co-founded as CTO. Before starting Positronic, Glasgow held a series of high profile positions at Microsoft, including heading program management for Microsoft's search technology, general management of Windows Desktop Search and leading program management for Hotmail's experience. He joined Microsoft through its acquisition of Jump Networks, a calendaring company he helped launch as President.

Glasgow serves on the Board of Trustees of the SETI Institute and is a Founding Circle member of the Sentinel Mission.

Neoglyphic Entertainment's additional co-founders include David Ramadge (Chief Operating Officer), Christopher Chamberlain (Chief Creative Officer), and Aaron Safronoff (Chief Storyteller).
