Daniel Angres, MD, Addiction Psychiatrist Ranked Again Among "Top Doctors" by US News & World Report and "Best Doctors" by Best Doctors, Inc.

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Aug 24, 2011) - Resurrection Health Care (RHC) announced today that Daniel Angres, MD, an addiction psychiatrist and medical director of Resurrection Behavioral Health - Addiction Services, was again included among U.S. News & World Report's Top Doctors and Best Doctors, Inc.'s list of Best Doctors in America.

Dr. Angres is an associate professor of psychiatry at University of Illinois College of Medicine and Rush University Medical Center, where he founded Rush Behavioral Health in 1994, a multi-site chemical dependency treatment program that was acquired by Resurrection Behavioral Health in 2007. He specializes in treating high accountability professionals, especially those in the healthcare professions, through his Professionals Program, a nationally recognized program for professionals who are in safety sensitive positions. He is the creator of the Positive Sobriety Program, an approach that trains addicts in mindfulness or "intentional awareness" through meditation and other methods.

A past president of the Illinois Society of Addiction Medicine, he is a recent recipient of their prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with added qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry. He is widely published and is also certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

U.S. News & World Report's Top Doctors is a peer-nominated list soliciting nominations from physicians in academic medical centers, specialty hospitals, regional hospitals and physicians in private practice.
