TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 19, 2015) - Daniels Carbon is encouraged by recent statements made by the Ontario Government about the impending release of the provincial climate change strategy, which will include a carbon pricing plan.
Earlier this week, Premier Kathleen Wynne stated that the Ontario government will release the plan in the spring, as Ontario looks to ramp up its fight against climate change.

Talks have been underway about potential carbon pricing in Ontario since 2008, but saw a renewed wave of momentum resulting from the United Nations climate negotiations in Lima, Peru, where participant countries committed to taking significant action to cut and curb emissions. In Ontario, it has not yet been made clear whether the carbon-pricing method adopted will be cap-and-trade or a carbon tax.
