Daptiv Hires David Blumhorst to Lead Consulting Team

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - February 18, 2010) - Daptiv, the on-demand leader in collaborative business software, announced today that project management software implementation expert David Blumhorst has joined as practice director of the new Daptiv Consulting team. Blumhorst will join Chris Broyles, vice president of professional services at Daptiv, in building out software implementation plans, methodology, governance and processes for customers based on expertise and areas of interest.

David Blumhorst and Daptiv Consulting will provide customers with coaching and advice on process, governance and methodology to support their goals and maximize their use of Daptiv's collaboration software. The new division will help customers develop new processes and update existing processes during the implementation phase as well as throughout the evolution of each practice as its needs change.

Blumhorst is a well-rounded addition to the Daptiv team, with more than 15 years of experience in IT management, 10 plus years in financial and business management, as well as hands-on software, hardware, networking and accounting skills. Most recently, Blumhorst ran his own consultancy, Effective IT Group, where he provided advice and coaching to Fortune 1000 companies on topics ranging from project intake, portfolio alignment and balancing, capacity planning and resource management, project management methodologies and project benefits, to value realization.

Prior to that, Blumhorst worked at PeopleSoft as the senior director of the IT-PMO. He led portfolio management, project methodologies, resource management and value measurement for the IT department, which consisted of more than 500 employees. Before PeopleSoft, Blumhorst was vice president of services at Project Arena and did PMO consulting for large IT customers. Blumhorst is also an experienced CIO for multiple companies, including building out the global IT department for Clarent.
