DareArts Foundation Inc. for Children: Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Partners with World Class Designer & Children's Organization

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 3, 2005) - Mark Raynes Roberts, President, Raynes & Co. Ltd., Marilyn Field, Founder, DareArts Foundation, and Bill Duron, President, Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, are pleased to announce an exciting new venture partnership between one of Canada's leading award winning designers and Canada's premier children's arts education organization and the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

The DareArts Human Spirit Garden of values is an exciting new feature at 'The Royal' this year. There is a Launch Party on Monday, November 7th, 5:30 - 8 pm in the Heritage Court, National Trade Centre, Exhibition Place.

This new association will provide inspirational values to visitors at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and particularly to the 30,000 children and teens who are expected to visit The Royal this year. Mr. Duron remarked, "The Royal is delighted to be associated with DareArts which has such a positive impact on the creativity of young people".

DareArts Foundation is a Canadian not-for-profit organization that empowers children with self-esteem, motivation and leadership through arts education. Now in its tenth year, it has been called "One of the most innovative arts education organizations in the world."

Mark Raynes Roberts is recognized as a world renowned crystal artist and designer who has established an enviable reputation for his crystal masterpieces with such notable recipients as Dr. Nelson Mandela, Muhammad Ali, John McEnroe, Shania Twain, Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Diana Krall & Susan Sarandon. In 1994, Mr. Raynes Roberts created the 'Human Spirit Collection' as a journey to examine his inner self. The nine piece crystal collection was on a world tour including Covent Garden Gallery in London, England, Neiman-Marcus in Atlanta & Chicago and HM Queen Elizabeth II's crown jewelers Asprey & Garrard and Trump Tower in New York.

In 2003, through the generosity of Lombard Insurance, Judith Teller and the artist, DareArts Foundation acquired the nine-piece 'Human Spirit Collection' of crystal sculptures. DareArts uses the sculptures to provide teaching opportunities through the DareArts program to inspire children to pursue excellence and values within themselves. Children are 'dared' to explore the values as expressed in each of the nine sculptures.

1. Leap Of Faith (Dare, Communicate, Passion, Trust)
2. A Mother's Hope (Commitment, Love, Support, Respect)
3. Quest for Freedom (Honesty, Integrity, Confidence, Self Esteem)
4. Equilibrium (Control, Harmony, Peace, Balance)
5. Touched by the Light (Experience, Individual, Compassion, Empathy)
6. The Wave (Nature, Memory, Rhythm, Patience)
7. Persistence (Determination, Character, Progress, Courage)
8. Voyage of Discovery (Knowledge, Journey, Wisdom, Appreciation)
9. Eternity (Life, Spirit, Infinity, Acceptance, Kindness)

The Royal Winter Fair has set these nine sculptures in a beautiful Values Garden to provide a special new exhibit in the Heritage Court. As visitors walk down the garden path, they will encounter the inspiring crystal sculptures one at a time.

Fifteen year old writer, Caleigh Minshall, was herself inspired by the sculptures and wrote a collection of children's stories to accompany the sculptures as teaching tools. 'Blue - Voyage ToThe Sky' will be also launched on Monday evening. It contains illustrations - one for each of the nine stories - created by other children from across Canada. The book retails for $19.95 and is available by calling DareArts at 1-888-540-2787 or 905-729-0097.
