D'Arianne Resources Resumes Exploration Works on James
Bay Property

SAGUENAY, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 31, 2005) - D'Arianne Resources
(TSX VENTURE:DAR) The management of the Company is pleased to announce
the start of an exploration campaign on the Opinaca property, located in
the James Bay territories. The works will take place during the summer
and will include a geophysical survey, mechanical striping and
geological mapping. The company also plans to follow with a drilling
program that will test the deflined targets.

The Opinaca property covers an area of 1,060 hectares and is located in
the Eastmain greenstone belt. It is 50 kilometres West of the lac a
l'Eau Claire gold deposit (estimated gold resources by Eastmain
Resources Inc. of 3,149,411 metric tons grading 7.04 g/t - May 2004) and
70 kilometres South of the significant gold discovery by Virginia Gold
Mines- the Eleonore project, North of the Opinaca bassin.

The Opinaca property holds many gold showings as well as copper and zinc
base metal showings. The management of the company plans to focus on the
Main zone which is on a 3 km strike, where gold samples were found
(greater than 1 g/t Au). It is a contact zone between mafic volcanic
rocks and clastic sediments. At least three geophysical conductors (VLF;
1996 works) of kilometric length accentuates the presence of geological
contacts. The sulfide mineralisation, although more visible in contact
with quartz veins, seems disseminated in volcanic rock. A short visit on
the property in July 2004, enabled us to bring back samples grading up
to 77,7 g/t Au. No drilling has been done on the property.

While evaluating other projects in the James Bay area, the company also
plans to begin exploring on the La Dauversiere and Standard Gold

The La Dauversiere project : A striping program completed by Arianne in
the summer of 2004 exposed the presence of the Palmer-Tippecanoe
deformation corridor in the main showing area (R-14) that returned, in
1978, a channel sample of 142.29 g/t Au on 2.44 metres. During these
2004 works, values ranging from 2.26 g/t Au to 176 g/t Au were obtained
on samples extracted within this deformation zone.

The Standard Gold property : Located in the Duverny township, this
former mine was also known as the New Goldvue. A pit was sunk down to
1,275 feet in the early fifties where 8 levels of galleries were
developed. 1997 drill holes indicates that the mineralisation continues
to more than 2,000 feet deep. A complete gold resource evaluation is
