Data Evolution Corporation Announces New Release Date for Clio NXT and Cathena: New Date Reflects Engineering Delays

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA--(CCNMatthews - July 6, 2005) - Data Evolution Corporation, a subsidiary of Data Evolution Holdings, Inc. (OTC.PK:DTEV), announced today that the release date for the Clio® NXT and the Cathena™ has been moved to the fall of this year due to engineering delays.

"We are working with our major customers, partners, and beta sites to transition to the new delivery date," said Robert Sowah, Chief Executive Officer of the Company. "We are fortunate that our business partners and customers understand that engineering delays can and do occur and that they remain confident that the new Clio and Cathena will create huge impacts in their respective markets."

The engineering delays also caused the Company to cancel its scheduled appearance at the 2005 National Education Computing Conference, which was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from June 28-30, 2005.

"Our primary reason for attending the NECC was to expose the education technology market to the full capabilities of the Cathena and the Clio NXT. As the devices were not fully functional in time for the convention, we made the decision to withdraw from the show rather than exhibit something that was not perfect," said Sowah.

This release includes forward-looking statements made pursuant to the safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 that involve risks and uncertainties including, but not limited to, the impact of competitive products, the ability to meet customer demand, the ability to manage growth, acquisitions of technology, equipment, or human resources, the effect of economic and business conditions, and the ability to attract and retain skilled personnel. The Company is not obligated to revise or update any forward-looking statements in order to reflect events or circumstances that may arise after the date of this release.
