Data Storage Corporation's Peter Briggs to Present on Data Protection and Recovery Issues at Infor NAPCG Conference

GARDEN CITY, NY--(Marketwire - Aug 31, 2011) - Data Storage Corporation (DSC), a provider of data protection and business continuity solutions, today announced that its executive vice president, Peter Briggs, has been invited to speak at the NAPCG (National A+ Customer Group) Fall 2011 Meeting being held September 18-20, 2011 in Boston, Mass. Briggs will be giving three educational sessions during the conference addressing data protection and recovery issues for Infor software users.

The NAPCG Fall 2011 Conference is a Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting hosted by TheUserGroup.org (TUG), an independent software users group which serves the owners of distribution software sold by Infor (i.e. Infor ERPs A+, commerce@work, Enspire, FACTS, TakeStock, SX.enterprise, and SHIMS).

In his presentations, Briggs will be discussing industry standards and regulations for protecting business data, best practices when implementing a disaster recovery plan and the latest cloud-based recovery methods. Attendees will also learn how A+ users like Callico Distributors and Perkins use DSC's cloud-based disaster recovery products to fulfill their data protection requirements.

"With IT departments today facing new obstacles and challenges, such as the need for 24/7 coverage and lower cost solutions, cloud computing has become a logical option," said Briggs. "Cloud-based services are more cost-effective for mid-sized companies today than ever before and the ability to have application availability around the clock with limited financial investments, make cloud outsourcing very attractive. In my presentations at the NAPCG Meeting, I will share my thoughts on how IT professionals can leverage cloud-based solutions to ensure data availability and regulatory compliance and provide real-life examples of other organizations that are leveraging cloud computing to protect their data and systems."
