Data-Systems International Announces ClientTrack(TM) Software Update for HUD AHAR Reporting

Within 48 Hours, DSI Programmed CT Essentials for HMIS(TM) to Incorporate Last-Minute Changes From HUD

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - Nov 14, 2011) - Data-Systems International (DSI), the leading provider of case management software for social services, today announced it has updated its CT Essentials for HMIS™ software solution to include last-minute requirements from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR). HUD uses data from the report to keep Congress informed about the state of homelessness in the USA. DSI's update helps assure that ClientTrack™ users who receive HUD funds will be in compliance when they submit this year's data.

On Nov. 2 HUD announced changes to the reporting requirements for the 2011 AHAR -- a report that continuum of care (CoC) stakeholders submit each year to provide critical data about the state of homelessness in their geography. DSI went to work immediately to incorporate HUD's new guidance into the report, and as a result, all DSI-hosted ClientTrack customers got the update automatically on Nov. 4 (self-hosted customers may request the update from their account advocate). The first draft of the report is due to HUD on Nov. 15. The completeness and accuracy of submitted reports assists communities in their applications for competitively awarded homeless programs from HUD.

"The fact that we were able to complete the changes, test for quality, and issue the update within a record-breaking 48 hours of HUD's announcement is huge for our customers, who rely on us to help them stay in compliance," said Carl Champagne, chief executive officer for DSI. "HUD gave such short notice on these AHAR changes that it would have been difficult for our customers to comply otherwise. But now they can have peace of mind knowing they're submitting data based on complete and accurate criteria."
