PARIS--(CCNMatthews - Nov 15, 2005) -

Datacard Group, the world leader in secure ID and card personalization solutions, announced today at CARTES 2005 that it has been selected by the consortium of Finnish personalization bureau Suomen PA Segenmark OY and Sdu Identification of the Netherlands to provide inline passport issuance systems for Finland's new biometric passport.

The passports will be issued using the Datacard® PB6500™ passport issuance system, which offers enhanced quality, inline high speed laser engraving and contactless microprocessor chip programming required for the highly secure, ICAO compliant biometric passport.
