Datalliance Presents VMI Results for Power Transmission Industry at EPTDA Convention

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwired - Sep 30, 2013) - Datalliance presented "Vendor Managed Inventory in the Power Transmission Industry" at the EPTDA (European Power Transmission Distributors Association) Convention September 18-20, in Venice, Italy. Datalliance executives Bob Jennings, Vice President- Sales & Marketing, and Sam Temara, Director of Sales - Europe, addressed the business challenges and VMI benefits for both manufacturers and distributors in the PT industry, and then quantified the actual results for 7 supplier and 11 distributor relationships using VMI. In a year-over-year (June - August, 2012 vs. 2013) comparison, the supplier-distributor relationships using VMI realized a 13.3% overall increase in product demand, with 70% of the individual locations realizing increased demand. The industry average for this same period was a slight decrease (-.2%) or essentially flat product demand.
