Datalliance Realizes Record Year in 2009

Leading Suppliers Seize Opportunity in 2009 to Strengthen Relationships With Key Trading Partners; Vendor Managed Inventory Helps Increase Sales, Reduce Costs and Better Manage Inventory During Volatile Economic Climate; Datalliance Customer Base Grew 28%, Individual Customer Locations Increased to 28,000, and SKUs Managed Increased 33% to 13 Million

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - February 17, 2010) - Datalliance, a leading provider of collaborative commerce services, and the world's largest independent Vendor Managed Inventory service provider, today announced that the company achieved significant business milestones in 2009.

"Although 2009 presented a challenging business climate for the industries that we serve, many leading organizations took the volatile business climate of 2009 as an opportunity to drive process improvements and innovation within their organizations," said Carl Hall, Datalliance President. "As evidenced by our growth over the past year, VMI is recognized as one of the few technologies that can help suppliers build stronger, more cost-effective partnerships with their key trading partners. The result is increased sales, reduced costs and better managed inventory for both parties."

Datalliance realized substantial growth in several key areas, including overall customer base, customer locations and SKUs managed. The Datalliance customer base grew by 28%, individual customer locations increased to 28,000, and total SKUs managed increased 33% to 13 million.

Datalliance business growth was a combination of organizations implementing Vendor Managed Inventory for the first time, existing customers expanding their VMI programs to include additional partner locations, and organizations that selected Datalliance for their "second generation" VMI program platform. Of the new customers in 2009, over 50% are implementing Datalliance for their second generation solution in order to gain the latest VMI functionality and the lower total cost benefits provided by the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model employed by Datalliance.

New customers represent a broad range of industries including consumer goods, electrical, plumbing, heavy duty, automotive, and industrial manufacturers. New customers in 2009 included industry leaders such as CommScope, Gates, Leviton Manufacturing, MacLean Power Systems, NSK, Southwire, Sunny Delight Beverages, TECTRAN, Thorlo, Timken, Valor Brands, Watts Water Technologies, and others. In addition to industrial and wholesale distributors, a growing list of retailers are also working with Datalliance including Best Buy, CVS, Dollar General, Food Lion, Hannaford Brothers, Loblaws, Sports Authority, SuperValue, and Wegmans, to name a few.

"To support this growth, we have continued to invest in our organization in order to provide the high level of customer care that our customers have come to expect from Datalliance," stated Hall. "We increased our staff by 20% in 2009. Even with our growth in staff, over 60% of our people have been with us for over five years."
