ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - Aug 18, 2011) - Datamax-O'Neil, a global provider of industrial grade label and receipt printing solutions, announces the appointment of Carter Williams as Regional General Manager for North America. Mr. Williams will be responsible for driving revenue growth and leading a restructured sales organization that further strengthens the company's focus to build the most rewarding partner and customer relationships. He replaces Mike Allocco who previously announced his plans to retire at the end of 2011.

Mr. Williams, most recently the director of sales for Datamax-O'Neil, has more than 18 years of experience with the company in multiple positions and offers significant experience across a broad number of business functions with an emphasis on business strategy and understanding customer needs. "Datamax-O'Neil, with one of the industry's largest product portfolios and strong partner community, is a premium supplier in North America with a rich history of providing exceptional value to its partners," said Mr. Williams. "I look forward to leading our sales team as we drive market share growth with a customer-centric approach that is supported by all of the functions within Datamax-O'Neil. We are looking to become the most compelling supplier in the market by aligning our company efforts more directly with the needs of our customers."

"With his broad and results-driven experience, I'm confident Carter Williams will drive his team to achieve our business goals as we become a company more focused than ever on our customers and their requirements," said Christian Lefort, president of Datamax-O'Neil. "Carter and his team will implement strategies and tactics that position us for strength through our customer relationships."

The North American sales team, which Mr. Williams leads, was reorganized with the changes effective August 1. The team has been organized into three Business Segments. Following are the segments and their related objectives:

Key Accounts: A focused business development team that targets strategic accounts in selected vertical markets.
Managed Partners: A sales and support team dedicated to building and strengthening relationships with valued partners that prominently feature Datamax-O'Neil products.
Channel Partners: A channel development sales team focused on supporting the needs of partners and resellers that sell Datamax-O'Neil products and helping them grow their sales.

Until his retirement from Datamax-O'Neil on December 31, 2011, Mr. Allocco will continue to focus his efforts on achieving the company's business goals while providing support to ensure a successful transition. "Mike has made many contributions to the company, including the implementation of the Channel Partners Program in the Americas and the integration of portable and desktop sales under one management structure," Lefort said. "His enthusiasm, positive spirit and outstanding leadership qualities have left a positive mark on Datamax-O'Neil."
