DataMirror iReflect 3.1 Achieves Real-Time Data Integration and Protection for Oracle Environments With Zero System Overhead

Zero performance impact to production systems, increased data type and table support, and enhanced performance

TORONTO, ON. and SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(CCNMatthews - April 16, 2007) - DataMirror® (TSX:DMC), a leading provider of real-time data integration and data protection solutions, today unveiled iReflect 3.1, the latest version of DataMirror's data distribution and protection solution for Oracle environments. This new version of iReflect extends the product's support for the Oracle database and further improves its performance to empower enterprises in achieving their business objectives. The new enhancements to iReflect 3.1 will allow customers that use DataMirror's Oracle technology to increase overall performance while having zero impact on the source database.

iReflect 3.1 Highlights:

- Real-time Data Access with Zero System Overhead - Companies will now experience almost zero impact to their source production systems. iReflect's Remote Redo Log Reader captures production data remotely on external systems other than the source database server. Remote data capture not only allows companies to dedicate all of their server resources to mission-critical applications, but also provides companies with solutions for compliance issues such as the inability to install software on the database server or situations where companies are outsourcing the management of their data.

- Improved Performance-iReflect now has improved throughput and efficiency due to performance enhancements on the target system. In today's competitive business environment, companies continue to have increasing volumes of data; iReflect's performance enhancements allows companies to keep up with constantly increasing data volumes by efficiently applying large amounts of data to the target database.

- Better Oracle Support-Each enterprise has unique business needs or custom, in-house applications that require more specialized data types such as nested tables or user defined types. Enhanced performance and support for both nested tables and user defined types have been provided in iReflect 3.1.

- Enhanced support for Table Organization-iReflect 3.1 provides enhanced support for Index Organized Tables (IOTs), a table organization which provides many business benefits such as faster access to table data for certain database queries and reduced table storage requirements. IOTs are also the best table organization for 24x7 operations because they do not require an offline maintenance window for reorganization.
