Datatel, Inc. and Timecruiser Computing Corp. Renew Portal Partnership

Expanded Integration of CampusCruiser® Portal and Datatel® Colleague® Offers Continued Benefits for Client Institutions

FAIRFAX, VA, and FAIRFIELD, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 2, 2005 -- Datatel, Inc., a leading provider of technology solutions and professional services for higher education, and Timecruiser Computing Corp., the developer of CampusCruiser, a full-featured higher education enterprise portal application, today announced the renewal of the companies' long-standing partnership.

The partnership, which began in 1999, provides Datatel clients with seamless integration between the CampusCruiser e-learning portal and component modules, and Datatel's Colleague enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The continuation of this partnership focuses on further developing and supporting the integration between the companies' technologies.

"Due to streamlined data exchange processes, many institutions are now able to provide services to their constituents via the Web with much greater ease," said Kyran Kennedy, Datatel director of Partner Programs. "The integration of CampusCruiser and Colleague enables clients to continue improving the way they serve their constituents."

With CampusCruiser, colleges and universities are able to provide students, faculty, and staff with numerous tools for Web supported courses, communication, collaboration and community building. The CampusCruiser Academics Module has been used in over 400,000 classes in the US since 2002. Timecruiser provides these applications via unique Application Service Provider (ASP) technology that enables greater return on investment for its customers due to the savings from shared costs in hardware, software, and maintenance.

"Many colleges realize they stand to gain more value by including seasoned third-party experts in their Web services provisioning, rather than facing the high costs of testing, maintaining and supporting applications in-house," said Allen Wang, CEO of Timecruiser. "Given the off-campus ASP location, the integration solutions pioneered by the Datatel/Timecruiser partnership provide colleges and universities a unique opportunity to fully enjoy the benefits of Internet-based applications, with less operational and budgetary impact."
