DataTorrent Recognized by CRN as a 2015 Emerging Vendor

DataTorrent Listed Among Hottest Start-Ups for Driving Innovation Through Unified Stream and Batch Processing

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 22, 2015) - DataTorrent, the leader in real-time big data analytics and creator of the world's only enterprise-grade unified stream and batch processing platform, today announced it has been named to The Channel Company's exclusive 2015 CRN® Emerging Vendors List. The annual list features up-and-coming technology vendors that have introduced innovative new products, creating opportunities for channel partners in North America to create high-margin, cutting-edge solutions for their customers. The vendors recognized this year have demonstrated a commitment to developing new technologies to meet growing market demands.

DataTorrent recently introduced Project Apex, an Apache 2.0 licensed open-source, enterprise-grade unified batch and stream processing engine. DataTorrent also announced DataTorrent RTS 3 that addresses the current hurdles to Hadoop adoption, including increased ease of use and interoperability. DataTorrent RTS 3 includes a no-coding required GUI application assembly, self-service real-time and historical data visualization application and a simple to use ingestion and distribution application for Hadoop.

"Solution providers continue to keep their finger on the pulse of emerging technology in order to stay ahead of customer needs. The exciting technology vendors recognized in this year's Emerging Vendors List don't disappoint -- the innovative technologies they bring to the table provide channel partners with product options that will propel their success into the future," said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. "We congratulate 2015's Emerging Vendors for their outstanding efforts and for delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that will continue to evolve the IT channel."

"We are honored to be named one of CRN's 2015 Emerging Vendors. This is a testament to our rapid growth and demonstrates our team's commitment to making mission critical unified batch and streaming analytics widely available and easily accessible," said Phu Hoang, CEO and co-founder, DataTorrent.
