Datran Media Announces Key Management Additions

New Hires Include World Class Marketing, Legal, Research and Analytics Veterans

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 1, 2010) -  Datran Media, a leading digital marketing technology company, today announced key management additions across the company's strategic business lines. The newly hired executives will help fuel Datran Media's continued growth and expansion while supporting the company's valued commitment to its clients.

Newly appointed management team members include Chris Gaebler as senior vice president of mobile and social media; Steven Vine as associate general counsel and chief privacy officer; Karl Lendenmann as vice president of marketing and analytics; Matt Douglas as vice president of media operations for Aperture; and Jeff Katz as director of corporate development and Datran Media's Incubation Group.

As senior vice president of mobile and social media, Chris Gaebler is charged with enhancing all of Datran Media's technology solutions with mobile and social media capabilities. In his most recent position, Mr. Gaebler served for eight years as vice president of research, media and CRM for Sony Electronics. Prior to his tenure at Sony, Mr. Gaebler co-founded advertising services company Free Car Media, and served in key entrepreneurial and strategic consultant roles for Idealab and Accenture.

In his role as associate general counsel and chief privacy officer, Steven Vine leads Datran Media's mission to help transform digital advertising into a consumer-driven landscape. Mr. Vine is responsible for managing consumer privacy commitment as well as government and industry relations. Mr. Vine joins Datran Media from Register.com, where he was deputy general counsel with responsibility for oversight of the legal department and industry relations. He also serviced as an active leader in ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. Prior to Register.com, Mr. Vine was a corporate associate at the law firm Kaye Scholer, LLP, where he managed mergers and acquisitions, securities transactions and other general corporate matters.

As vice president of marketing and analytics, Dr. Karl Lendenmann is responsible for driving company-wide best practices in key areas that increase the relevance, engagement and value of Datran Media programs for both advertisers and publishers. These include in-market testing, data mining, responder profiling and segmentation, predictive modeling and lead scoring, as well as marketing research. Dr. Lendenmann previously served as a partner at KPMG LLP (US) and was partner-in-charge of KPMG international marketing and communications (Amsterdam, NL). Dr. Lendenmann has also been a senior partner and managing director of account planning at Bozell Worldwide and has held similar positions at Salvati Montgomery & Sakoda, Wakeman & deForest, Brierley & Partners and Dentsu Young & Rubicam. Dr. Lendenmann has taught courses for over 10 years in strategic market planning, consumer behavior, research and integrated marketing, first at UCLA Extension and then at UC Irvine Extension.

In his role of vice president of media operations for Aperture, Matt Douglas champions the successful alignment and growth of the business line's advertising operations, technology partnerships and integrations. Mr. Douglas brings substantial expertise in all of these areas from key positions he has held at 24/7 Real Media, New York Times Digital and ZenithOptimedia.

As director of corporate development and Datran Media's Incubation Group, Jeff Katz is responsible for conceptualizing, launching and evangelizing new strategic products. Mr. Katz specializes in fueling innovation throughout an organization and building infrastructure to enable positive change. His function also includes M&A and internal management consulting. Mr. Katz joins Datran Media from Enliven Marketing Technologies, where he served as director of corporate strategy.
