Dave Carroll Becomes First Musician in the Maritimes to Sign on for 100 Per Cent Clean, Renewable Electricity With Bullfrog Power®

Musician, songwriter and modern day folk hero helps address climate change and air pollution by bullfrogpowering™ Big Break Enterprises

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - March 30, 2010) - Bullfrog Power, Canada's 100 per cent green electricity provider, today announced that Dave Carroll, a Nova Scotia-based musician, keynote speaker, and consumer advocate — best known for his United Breaks Guitars song trilogy on YouTube — is now bullfrogpowering Big Break Enterprises with 100 per cent renewable electricity. With an understanding that conventional electricity generation is a leading industrial source of carbon dioxide, the primary greenhouse gas linked to climate change, as well as other emissions that contribute to poor air quality, Dave Carroll is supporting green electricity with Bullfrog Power as a meaningful way to do his part for the environment. Through the decision, Carroll will reduce the environmental impact of his company, Big Break Enterprises, as well as support the development of new renewable generation in Canada, and help to create a cleaner world for today and tomorrow.

Through the agreement with Carroll, Bullfrog's Maritimes generators inject renewable electricity onto the regional grid to match the amount of power Big Break Enterprises uses. Bullfrog Power launched in the Maritimes in the fall of 2009 and provides all homes and businesses in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island a renewable electricity choice. In the Maritime provinces, Bullfrog sources from wind farms and low-impact hydro facilities in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. The organization's goal is to advance the development of wind power throughout the Maritimes.

"Simple actions make a difference and I'm proud of what Bullfrog Power is working to do, one home and business at a time," said Dave Carroll, Owner, Big Break Enterprises. "Being bullfrogpowered means I'm supporting new wind power generated here in the Maritimes, and working with a company that understands my community and is trying to make it a better place for future generations."

"We're pleased to recognize Dave Carroll as the first bullfrogpowered musician in the Maritimes," said Holly Bond, Director, Eastern Region, Bullfrog Power. "A modern day folk hero with extensive passion and reach, Carroll will help to raise awareness among Maritimers about the importance of supporting new renewable power in Canada—we are just thrilled to be working with him."

In addition to bullfrogpowering Big Break Enterprises, Carroll has implemented a number of other environmental initiatives throughout his organization, and he also participated in 4 Haiti relief concerts in January.
