Waldrup brings over 30 years of combined government and commercial experience where he worked extensively incorporating Semantic Web and knowledge management capabilities within GIS.

"FortiusOne's disruptive technological innovations are blazing the trail toward the next generation of mapping," said Waldrup. "By marrying the very best of GIS and the Geo and Semantic Web, FortiusOne is enabling people to visualize and use maps in entirely new ways. I'm excited to help lead the charge."

Dave has had great success working within the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and worldwide commercial business. "He reinforces our mission to create exciting and innovative applications that enable geospatial knowledge creation and discovery by everyone. Dave is a great addition to the FortiusOne team."

FortiusOne was spun out of George Mason University in 2005 by a group of recognized experts in complexity science, large-scale data analysis, and public policy. The emergence of Web mapping and other Web 2.0 innovations inspired FortiusOne to invent new technologies to address the limitations of traditional analytic tools and the challenges in finding adequate data to solve real-world problems. Joined by successful pioneers from the networking, Web services, and social networking markets, FortiusOne pursues its mission to make the World's data accessible and easy to use.

"By joining our team, Dave has validated FortiusOne's value proposition," said Chris Marentis, COO and President of FortiusOne.
