David Parsons Joins Tout as Chief Revenue Officer

Digital Media Veteran Joins Tout to Scale Video Network Reach and Advertising Operations

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2014) - Tout, a next-generation news platform, announced today that David Parsons, a veteran in the online video sector, has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of the company, joining CEO Michael Downing in leading the company into its next phase of growth. Parsons will be responsible for helping scale the company's advertising operations and revenues and further expanding Tout's video distribution network across Web and mobile platforms.

Prior to that role, he was vice president of Business Development at Real Gravity, a pioneer in video syndication technology, which was acquired by Scripps Networks Interactive in 2012. Parsons also founded VideoLantern, a full-service online video management technology platform in 2007, taking the company from an early entrant in the syndicated online video marketplace to a leading end-to-end, outsourced solution provider by uniquely aggregating scale across highly fragmented market segments.
