DAVIS Strengthens Operations Core With New Field Positions

Senior Level Positions Increase Client's Bottom Line and Construction Expertise

ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwired - October 09, 2015) - Nationally and locally ranked construction leader James G. Davis Construction Corporation (DAVIS) is strengthening its award-winning construction operations team with the addition of two new senior level positions -- Vice President, Construction Operations and Construction Executive.

"We are in the business of building for a purpose, and that purpose is to build success for all -- from our subcontractors to our clients and end-users. With the increasing complexities, size and scope of our projects, we saw true value in creating these senior level field management positions to work with our operations teams. This decision not only demonstrates why DAVIS continues to lead our market, but also how," says Executive Vice President, Bill Moyer.

Moyer says in addition to a continued focus on safety and quality, the enhanced day-to-day management of DAVIS field resources will streamline knowledge sharing, increase team collaboration and early project involvement from the field perspective -- leading to better jobsite efficiency and a better bottom line for DAVIS clients.

With over 60 years of combined construction experience, former DAVIS Construction Operations Executives, Matt Cafritz and Dave Masters, were each named Vice President, Construction Operations. Five former DAVIS Senior Superintendents -- Dave Boyland, Chris Butts, Dave Mesich, Billy Myers and Steve Silcott -- will all take on new roles as Construction Executives. In addition to the new position titles, DAVIS also promoted 30 other employees.
