DaVita Laboratories Implement MediSolution's Virtuo Revenue Cycle Management Solution

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Dec. 11, 2007) - MediSolution Ltd (TSX:MSH) today announced the implementation Go-Live of the Virtuo® Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solution at DaVita Laboratories, wholly owned subsidiaries of DaVita, Inc., one of the leading providers of kidney care services in the United States. The comprehensive revenue cycle management system was selected to fill the complex billing and accounts receivable requirements within DaVita's laboratory services group.

DaVita Laboratories supply services in support of DaVita, Inc. As the largest independent provider of dialysis services in the United States, DaVita provides dialysis services for those diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. With over 1,300 outpatient dialysis facilities and acute units in 700 hospitals, DaVita serves over 103,000 patients located in 43 states and the District of Columbia.

DaVita Laboratories was faced with merging multiple billing and accounts receivable systems onto one platform. The new solution was required to interface to three separate patient registration systems, a corporate physician information system, a corporate ordering system and a laboratory system.

"We required a scalable billing system that could handle our high volume and complex billing requirements," said Jason Kotar, Director of Patient Accounting for DaVita Laboratories. "MediSolution handily met the challenge, providing us with excellent support throughout the implementation process and a system that was delivered on time and within budget."

Virtuo RCM's customizable, rules-based workflow engine provided DaVita's laboratories with the ability to configure the system to accommodate the complex laboratory renal dialysis billing requirements including Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) and National Coverage Decisions (NCD's). The comprehensive solution also reduces the amount of staff intervention required through a series of automated pre-billing edits that scrub claims for errors prior to submission.

"The Virtuo Revenue Cycle Management system's flexible open architecture and customizable workflow engine make it a logical choice for laboratories with unique billing needs", said Paul Lepage, President and Chief Executive Officer of MediSolution. "The adaptable solution can be easily integrated with most IT systems from a multitude of vendors."
