Day & Zimmermann Awarded Contract With PPL at Susquehanna Nuclear Plant

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - Dec 4, 2013) - Day & Zimmermann (D&Z), the century-old, family-owned provider of construction and engineering, staffing and defense solutions for leading corporations and governments around the world, announced today it has been awarded a three-year contract with PPL Susquehanna to provide ongoing supplemental labor support for the Susquehanna nuclear power plant in northeastern Pennsylvania, about 20 miles southwest of Wilkes-Barre. The Susquehanna plant has two boiling water reactors with a combined capacity of about 2,600 megawatts, making it one of the largest nuclear power plants in the U.S.
