Days Inn Brand Ranks Sixth on Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500

PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwire - December 14, 2010) - Wyndham Hotel Group, the world's largest hotel company based on number of hotels and one of three business units of Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE: WYN), today announced that the company's Days Inn® brand has been ranked sixth on a list of the top 500 franchises for 2011 by Entrepreneur magazine.

Part of the magazine's 32nd annual Franchise 500 ranking, the brand was evaluated on a variety of factors including financial strength and stability, growth rate and system size as well as number of years franchising, startup costs, financial assistance and more. This is the second top ten ranking the brand has received this year. In April, CNN Money ranked the brand eighth on its list of the top 10 most popular franchises.

The Days Inn brand has consistently improved its ranking on the Franchise 500 for the past four years. Last year, the brand ranked 21st.

Among the other Wyndham Hotel Group brands listed were the Super 8 brand (45th), Ramada brand (83rd), Knights Inn brand (107th), Howard Johnson brand (172nd), Wingate by Wyndham brand (190th), Travelodge brand (192nd), Microtel Inns & Suites brand (255th), Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand (257th), Baymont Inn & Suites brand (266th) and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham brand (475th).
