DaySpring Turns to MediaValet to Manage Digital Assets for Over 6,000 Products in 60 Countries

SILOAM SPRINGS, AR and VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - January 21, 2015) - DaySpring Cards Inc.-the largest publisher and distributor of Christian greeting cards in the world and a Hallmark Cards Inc. subsidiary - has chosen MediaValet (TSX VENTURE: MVP) to help them aggregate, organize, secure and share their rapidly growing library of product photography.

DaySpring offers more than 6,000 products that are sold in Christian retail stores, gift stores and through Internet retailers in 60 countries worldwide. Its products touch more than one billion people annually. In a growing company employing 300 people, the DaySpring marketing team is busy supporting product sales. The team previously organized its digital assets on an internal network, which worked well until its library became too large to find assets quickly and easily. Older assets were particularly difficult to locate as the organization had no robust keywording structure in place.

"We simply outgrew our internal network. With 250GB of assets, we were spending too much time trying to locate images in our rapidly expanding digital library," commented Brandon Wimberly, Web Design Manager, DaySpring Cards Inc. "It was time to find a better way. We needed a digital asset management system that would allow our growing team quick access to images for design projects, social media and various other marketing initiatives. In addition, we desired a Cloud-based system that would support sharing assets with external agencies and partners."

"After researching several Cloud-based DAMS, we chose MediaValet for its strong user interface, brand personalization options and robust customer service that included onboarding, training and support," continued Wimberly.

MediaValet is leading an entirely new generation of digital asset management systems that are forged in the Cloud. Built from the ground up on Microsoft's platform-as-a-service (PaaS) cloud offering, Microsoft Azure, MediaValet makes it easier for organizations, such as DaySpring Cards, to securely aggregate, organize, manage, and share their library of digital assets.

"From its humble beginnings in 1971 as a print shop in Covino, California, DaySpring has stayed true to its vision of delivering Christian messages. Unlike 40 years ago, today DaySpring has a vastly more complicated job of keeping track of the tens of thousands of images, collateral pieces and marketing campaigns for its 6,000 plus products. That's where we come in," commented David MacLaren, President and CEO at MediaValet. "We're pleased that DaySpring selected MediaValet and confident that we can help them grow their business for years to come."

"Our initial and primary focus has been centered on organizing our library of product photography in support of our eCommerce business. Our full internal roll-out will take place early 2015, but we've already taken advantage of the Lightbox feature to share assets with an external agency we're partnering with on a project," continued Wimberly. "Once this process is complete, we'll look at expanding to include other creative assets such as design files, campaign images, and further marketing assets."
