DC Brands Releases Update

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - June 27, 2008) - In recent weeks, DC Brands International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DCBR) announced expectations for the initial HARD Nutrition Functional Water Systems rollout to distributors. Due to company policy, no specific names were to be released prior to contracts being signed and products being received in distributor's warehouses. Nevertheless, the company feels it owes their shareholders a status update with respect to the rollout. Again, specifics are difficult; however, it suffices to say that over the last two weeks the beverage industry and financial community were rocked by the news of a proposed buyout that would have been one of the largest cash transactions in corporate history.

The company's CEO, Richard Pearce, said, "This was an extremely frustrating but by no means a devastating event. In essence, we were asked to just 'hold on.' These events did impact our projected rollout, but it would appear, after a few weeks, that things seem to have been getting back on track.

"There was no possible way anyone could see this one coming out of left field, but it did. Not knowing if things would get back on track, our sales team continued working with and had high level meetings with the another industry leader, which looks extremely promising."

Pearce continues, "I sincerely apologize for the vague nature of this press release, but ask that all shareholders understand we are not able to name specifics at this time. I will tell you that as of today, it appears all of this frustration may well prove to have been a blessing in disguise. Although over the past 2-3 weeks, we have felt like we were asked to hurry up and wait, we are now reminded that good things come to those who wait. I can only tell you that despite the frustration and setbacks, these new products are everything we have claimed them to be and that is being recognized by more than one of the dominant forces in the beverage industry. The week of the 4th of July is an extremely hectic time for any of these companies but we have been assured of fast progress immediately thereafter.
