DCCA Awarded $12 Million Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Contract

Company to Provide Cloud and Data Analytics Solution

ELLICOTT CITY, MD--(Marketwired - Apr 15, 2015) - Data Computer Corporation of America (DCCA), a veteran-owned information technology services company, has been awarded a contract by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to develop a new cloud-based solution for CMS's Fee for Service data collection system. Under the contract, DCCA will stand up a robust system that will provide data collection and data analytics for products falling under the Fee for Service payment mechanisms.

"DCCA will engineer a data environment capable of incorporating the full spectrum of data sources into a single federated system," said DCCA Chief Executive Officer, David W. Bower. "Our automated processes will allow CMS to normalize their disparate sources of data to gain a comprehensive and actionable view of their Fee for Service payment and Clinical Lab information."

DCCA is responsible for creating a cloud-based, secure data input tool and database for Fee for Service drug manufacturers and clinical laboratories to report market data about their products quickly and accurately, improve data reporting compliance, create up front edit checks on the data to improve data quality, and reduce the risk to systems that use the output from this process. The new system will also provide volume-weighted pricing limits and fee schedule reports to be posted for public review and use.

"DCCA is proud to be providing CMS with leading cloud and data analytics technologies and capabilities steeped in years of experience," added Bower. "We look forward to engaging closely with CMS throughout the development lifecycle so that we can provide the most efficient offering for their requirements."
