DCO Energy Subsidiary Secures Contract for Chilled Water Plant Operations at Baha Mar

Cooling Plant to Provide 9,800 Tons of Chilled Water to World-Class Resort

NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS and MAYS LANDING, NJ--(Marketwired - Aug 5, 2014) - DTEC Plant Services has been selected to manage the maintenance and operations of the Chilled Water Plant (CWP) and emergency backup generator, which will provide cooling of air conditioning systems for the entire Baha Mar property.

DCO Energy and the Baha Mar Resort have announced that a DCO subsidiary, DTEC Plant Services LTD, a Bahamian company, will manage the facility, which will provide 9,800 tons of chilled water for the entire site. The company will also manage emergency power generation in the event there is an interruption of electric service from the Bahamas Electricity Corporation (BEC).

In addition, DTEC Plant Services will manage the extraction and injection wells that support the production of the chilled water.

DTEC was selected based on the company's significant amount of experience with similar cooling and energy production equipment related to the Gaming and Hotel industry.

"Baha Mar is excited to have the DCO team joining us in this important capacity providing a comfortable and energy efficient environment for our guests. We look forward to a long relationship including further exploration of new technology and energy saving opportunities," said Baha Mar's Chief Operating Officer, Paul V. Pusateri.

The agreement between the parties will remain in place for five years and will result in the creation of six new jobs for Bahamians.

Frank DiCola, President and CEO of DCO Energy and DTEC Plant Services, LTD, said, "This is a unique project and the enhanced Operating & Maintenance services provided by DTEC for the existing facility will result in enhanced operating performance. We are pleased to be part of this team, which is creating a premier gaming resort destination."

DCO Energy will also join the team investigating the possible application of a Seawater District Cooling (SDC) System at Baha Mar.
