DCT Secures Mr. Martin Boliek as Chief Technology Officer

Technology Innovator and Entrepreneur Holds More Than 50 Patents

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 6, 2011) - Document Capture Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: DCMT), a global IP-driven leader in the design, development, manufacture and sale of advanced imaging technologies for over a decade, today announced the hiring and appointment of Martin Boliek as Chief Technology Officer. In addition to an MSc in Electrical Engineering From UC Davis, Martin also holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco.

As the holder of more than 50 technology patents, Martin brings extensive knowledge within the hardware engineering, imaging and document processing disciplines. He was the driving force behind JPEG 2000 still image compression family of standards, and the editor of Parts 1 and 2.

Martin has worked with large, medium and startup companies, recently as Program Manager with Ricoh Innovations. He has also worked as a consultant focusing on SaaS (Software as a Service) applications and integration, which will have direct benefits for DCT's products and innovative R&D. SaaS and cloud technology partnerships are becoming an important constituent of the Company's growing revenue base.

As well, an exclusive bilateral sales partnership was established with China-based Microtek, the oldest and largest image capture technology company in Asia and one of the four most recognizable brands in North America. Each company has the exclusive rights to market the other's products in their key markets.
