DDS Announces $1.7 Million Upgrade of European Customer; Schedules Q3 Earnings Release and Conference Call

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 18, 2010) - DDS Wireless International Inc. (TSX:DD) ("DDS or the Company") announces today that it has received an initial $1.7 million order for the Company's latest generation Vector 9000™ mobile data terminals ("MDT"). The order is from Taxis G7 of France, one of the Company's largest customers that has been using DDS's technology to build its business for over 8 years. Today Taxis G7 has over 5,000 vehicles in its fleet and the Company expects to finalize an agreement before the end of the year to supply G7 with further Vector 9000™ units. The current order will be deployed to approximately 20% of G7's fleet and it is expected that half of this order will be delivered in the current year.

"With this latest order from Taxis G7, we are pleased to announce another key win under the upgrade strategy we have been pursuing with our latest generation MDTs," stated Patrick Nangle, President of Digital Dispatch Systems. "Use of industry-leading technology like the Vector 9000™ improves the efficiency of taxi fleet management, navigation, and onboard electronic payments. With many of our customers and prospective customers reaching the end of their technology lifecycles, we are very excited about the market prospects of our latest generation technologies such as the Vector 9000™."

The Vector 9000™ will provide Taxis G7 with advanced features and functionality such as 3D mapping, turn-by-turn navigation, leading edge graphics and touch screen technology. In addition, the greater processing power, expanded memory, and 3G wireless capabilities will enable Taxis G7 to further extend their system capabilities in the future.

The Company recently renamed its top of the line MDT the Vector 9000™ to align all of its MDTs along the Vector name.
