DDS Wireless Announces $1 million in New Contracts with Key Wins in Transit

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 27, 2011) - DDS Wireless International Inc. (TSX:DD) ("DDS" or "the Company") announces today that it has signed $1 million in new contracts. The Company's transit business unit, StrataGen Systems, has closed two significant customer contracts totalling $800,000 with each featuring DDS' latest generation Vector 9000™ Mobile Data Terminals ("MDTs"). These customers will also add annual maintenance and support provisions which will be in addition to the cited contract values. The Company also won a contract valued at $225,000 under a joint initiative in Finland between the Company's taxi and transit business units.

The first transit contract is with Global Paratransit Services of Gardena, California, a significant provider of transportation services under Access Paratransit, the Los Angeles County Paratransit coordination agency that provides more than 2.3 million customer trips per year. Global will be upgrading their entire 175 vehicle paratransit fleet to the Company's Vector 9000™ MDTs. This upgrade will improve communication between drivers and dispatchers which, in turn, will lead to greater operational efficiencies and better customer service. "We are pleased to be working closely with our long-time partner StrataGen Systems to modernize our fleet and provide significant cost-savings to our company," stated Global General Manager Lee Habibi. "Using our StrataGen ADEPT™ software and our new Vector 9000™ MDTs, we will have a unified solution for scheduling, dispatching, routing and tracking our vehicles. We anticipate this will translate to serving our valued customers even better than before."

The second contract was awarded by a large public transit authority in the US Mid-West who is a long-standing StrataGen customer. The contract will provide the customer with upgraded ADEPT™ routing and scheduling software and a new deployment of the Company's latest generation Vector 9000™ MDTs. This contract exemplifies the opportunity to leverage cross sell opportunities by selling MDTs to StrataGen's customer base, and the advantage of the Company's ability to provide integrated hardware and software solutions for the routing, scheduling and dispatching of passenger vehicles. The agency operates 130 vehicles and transports over 1,300 disabled riders a day over a large service area and these upgrades will enable better management of their vehicles, improved customer service and reduced operational costs.

"We are pleased that our long time customers continue to choose us for their system expansion and upgrade needs," stated Matt Scheuing, President of StrataGen Systems, Inc. "As a full end-to-end provider of scheduling and routing solutions, we are proud to welcome these two customers to the growing number of clients who rely on us for both software and in-vehicle mobile data solutions."

The final contract provides for the automation and wireless data transfer of reporting, scheduling and fare information for government subsidized trips in a region of Finland. In addition, the contract has generated orders for MDTs from associated service providers which the Company has delivered with values over $500,000. These orders have also included the Company's class leading Vector 9000™.
