DDS Wireless' StrataGen and Digital Dispatch Units Secure $1.1 Million in New Orders

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 21, 2010) - DDS Wireless International Inc. (the "Company" or "DDS Wireless") (TSX:DD) announces today that its Transit business unit, StrataGen Systems, and its Taxi Business Unit, Digital Dispatch, have closed $1.1 million in new orders. Most of these orders will ship this year, including a portion to be shipped in the 3rd quarter of 2010.

The largest order is with Avail Technologies Inc., a long standing StrataGen Systems partner and one of the industry's leading providers of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technology solutions to small and medium sized transit operators throughout North America. The contract provides for the delivery of a variety of DDS Wireless mobile data terminal configurations as well as related wireless enabling technologies throughout the remainder of this year and into early 2011.

"We are very excited to extend our partnership with Avail Technologies," states Matt Scheuing, President of StrataGen Systems. "We have a longstanding relationship that has extended more recently into new areas of collaboration, including payment systems and other joint go to market initiatives."

Dorsey House, President of Avail Technologies states, "StrataGen Systems and DDS Wireless International continue to be great partners; we look forward to enhancing our mutually successful business relationship, especially as we explore additional technology integration opportunities to benefit our customers."

A second order closed by the Company's Digital Dispatch unit is an order from Veolia Transportation ("Veolia") to upgrade mobile data terminals ("MDTs") in their Kansas City Taxis to DDS Wireless' latest generation iMax9000™. The iMax9000™ will provide Veolia with advanced features and functionality such as 3D mapping, turn-by-turn navigation, leading edge graphics and touch screen technology.

"Veolia was the first of our long-time customers to upgrade their equipment to the new iMax9000™ just after its launch late last year. With this latest order, it continues the strong trend among our existing and new customers to upgrade to DDS Wireless' latest generation technologies," states Patrick Nangle, President of Digital Dispatch. "Customers such as Veolia recognize the return on investment that can be gained from adopting class leading technology such as the iMax."

Veolia operates approximately 2,400 taxis in North America, dispatching them through 24 hour call centers that handle more than 5.5 million trips per year. DDS's dispatch software and mobile data terminals have been key to managing the tremendous volume of dispatch activity in three of Veolia's largest markets.

Digital Dispatch also closed an order to facilitate the expansion of another existing customer to the Company's latest generation Vector 800™ MDTs.

The Company also announces that Matt Scheuing resumed his full time role as President of the Company's StrataGen business unit and has ceded his position as Interim President of DDS Wireless. Mr. Scheuing was appointed to lead DDS Wireless while Mr. Vari Ghai, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, was on a personal leave of absence. As previously reported, Mr. Ghai returned just prior to the end of the second quarter and this latest announcement reflects the final step in resumption of Mr. Ghai's leadership.

"I would like to take the opportunity to thank Matt for his leadership during my leave and congratulate him on his success in continuing to drive the growth and development of DDS Wireless," stated Vari Ghai. "Matt has been tremendously successful in driving the growth of our StrataGen business, and during his tenure as Interim President of DDS Wireless he was just as accomplished, closing over $6.0 million in new contract wins. We are very fortunate that Matt will continue as a key member of the DDS Wireless senior management team and in his role as President of StrataGen Systems based in Kirkland, Washington."
