NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2013) - De Cecco, the world's third largest manufacturer of pasta, was inducted this summer into the Italian Trade Commission's Hall of Fame, recognizing De Cecco's enduring commitment and contribution to the Italian food industry in the United States. The recognition came as De Cecco celebrates 120 years of success in the American marketplace.

To that end, the Italian-based company has embarked on a marketing plan to be spearheaded by the new CEO of De Cecco USA, Marco de Ceglie, a seasoned food marketer with years of experience in both Europe and the United States.

Mr. de Ceglie is charged with building on 120 years of success by further increasing De Cecco's market share in the premium pasta market in the United States. De Cecco's goal is to capture a 50% share of the premium pasta category.* His focus is on broadening distribution and increasing brand awareness of its superior products through a strategic program of sales and marketing.
