De Novo Ventures Augments Finance Team

Cathy Minshall Joins De Novo as Chief Financial Officer

MENLO PARK, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 10, 2006 -- Cathy Minshall has joined De Novo Ventures as chief financial officer, the life sciences venture capital firm announced today.

Minshall will be responsible for finance, tax, administration and investor relations. She will also help support De Novo's early stage portfolio companies.

Minshall has more than ten years of experience in the private equity industry. Before joining De Novo, she was the controller for Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers for more than five years. Previously, she was vice president of finance for Ancora Capital and Management. Before that, she was the controller for Mayfield Fund. She has also held various financial positions at operating companies. Minshall began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles.
