Dead Bolt Partners With Renowned Tattoo Artist

California Wine Launches Limited Edition Bottle Created by David Hale

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - October 01, 2014) - California wine, Dead Bolt® is continuing to break convention by announcing an exclusive partnership with renowned tattoo artist, David Hale. The partnership includes the release of a limited edition bottle design, created by Hale, which will be available in select markets this month through December 2014.

The rebellious bottle design reflects the brand's commitment to individuality and the shared belief of Dead Bolt and Hale in celebrating self-expression. This is a first-time collaboration for both Dead Bolt and Hale -- who was named "one of the coolest Tattoo Artists in the world"1 by BuzzFeed -- recognizing his unique and original style.

The art of blending is central to the Dead Bolt winemaking philosophy and the limited edition design captures the essence of the brand's distinctive Winemaker's Red Blend. "Wine has a particular appeal to me because it acts as the blood of the land and my art comes from a very similar place," says Hale. Ariel Boorstin, associate brand manager at Pernod Ricard USA adds, "The Dead Bolt logo was originally inspired by tattoo iconography, thus working with a tattoo artist to create a limited edition label felt like a natural synergy for the brand."

While the Dead Bolt limited edition has a new label design, the wine remains the same. The 2013 Californian Red Blend features a distinctive combination of rich fruit flavors with a long textured finish.

The limited edition release will be available in select markets in the USA from October 2014 to December 2014 at a suggested retail price of $15.99.
