Deal Capital to Appoint Don Ranta as a Director

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 26, 2007) - Deal Capital Ltd. (the "Company" or "Deal Capital") (TSX VENTURE:DCP.P) will appoint Dr. Donald E. Ranta as a Director of the Company upon the closing of the Qualifying Transaction (see news release dated February 23, 2007) to acquire the Santa Gertrudis Gold Deposit in Mexico.

Dr. Ranta is an exploration and development mining executive, experienced in planning, implementing and directing successful exploration and acquisition programs throughout North America, South America, Africa and other international locations. He has extensive experience in generative exploration, project exploration and appraisal, geologic-engineering, economic evaluation, and strategic and business planning. In addition, he is a former President and Board member of the SME and the current Vice President-Finance and a Board member of AIME. He is currently a director of Gryphon Gold Corp., and was the Vice President of Exploration for Echo Bay Mines and manager/vice-president for North American exploration at Phelps Dodge.

Dr. Ranta is very optimistic about the significant potential of the Santa Gertrudis district and states that "after my Phelps Dodge exploration team discovered and advanced many of the Santa Gertrudis mine for leach gold deposits over a number of years, many targets remained untested. I currently recognize that, since the mine-for-leach operations closed in 2000, this large gold district continues to have great potential for both near-surface gold deposits as well as deeper sulfide deposits. I am confident that geologic re-evaluation and exploration of the district under Greg McKelvey's leadership will unlock its full potential."

Dr. Ranta has had a significant role in the successful exploration, discovery and acquisition of several major ore deposits including the Sleeper gold deposit in Nevada, the Emmons molybdenum deposit in Colorado, the McDonald gold deposit in Montana and the Santa Gertrudis gold orebodies in Sonora, Mexico. His exploration teams participated in the acquisition or discovery of a number of other deposits including: the Paradones Amarillos gold deposit in Baja, California, the Aquarius gold deposit in Ontario, Canada, the Kilgore gold deposit in Idaho, the Seven-Up Pete gold deposit in Montana, the Dolores gold-silver deposit in Mexico, the Youga gold deposit in Burkina Faso, the Kuranakh gold deposit in Russia, and the Cochise copper deposit in Arizona.

The Santa Gertrudis Gold Project

The Santa Gertrudis Gold Project (the "SG Property"), located 180 km north of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, was discovered by Phelps Dodge ("PD") in 1986 and advanced to open pit heap-leach production in 1991. From May 1991 to October 2000, the SG Property produced 564,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 2.13 grams per tonne. PD sold part of the SG Property to Campbell in 1994 for US$10 million. Campbell later ceased mining and processing activity due to low gold prices during the late 1990's and settled some outstanding debts by assigning several core area concessions, including the un-mined Cristina deposit, to certain local Mexican contractors. The proposed transactions aim to re-consolidate these concessions, which will allow for a district-wide exploration program. Other mineral properties that are part of the SG Property package include the Amelia Mine and staked ground to the west, northwest and southeast of the SG Project's historic workings.

The Company will own directly, or have options to earn-in on a combined holding of approximately 32,600 hectares in the SG Property (125 square miles).
