Dealers Transmission Exchange Launches New DTE Power Gear Group Division

The Industrial Transmissions Remanufacturing Firm, Dealers Transmission Exchange, Expands Its Service Offering With the Addition of a New DTE Power Gear Group Division

ROSELLE, IL--(Marketwire - February 4, 2009) - The professional industrial transmissions remanufacturing firm, Dealers Transmission Exchange (DTE), recently announced it has expanded its current service offering to include a new division, the DTE Power Gear Group. After more than three years of extensive research and development, the new division was launched to better serve DTE's wide customer base.

One of the premier transmission remanufacturing firms in the world, DTE sets itself apart from competition through its highly skilled staff of Reman Specialists, expansive inventory and professional technical support team. For more than 30 years, DTE has specialized in the remanufacturing of the top transmission brands, including Caterpillar transmissions, Komatsu, Terex and more. The firm's well-rounded service offering also includes a specialized industrial marine transmission division. Known for its custom approach to remanufacturing, DTE never uses assembly line methods in its rebuilding process.

"Not only can DTE Power Gear Group offer our customers complete remanufacturing of transmissions and torque converters, but now we are able to supply the entire roll out assembly, including the differential, axle group, and brake assembly. With the creation of the DTE Power Gear Group, we can meet our customers' growing needs for complete drive train component remanufacturing," says Dan Horvath, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for DTE.

The creation of the new DTE Power Gear Group division was a direct result from the firm's interaction and feedback with its established mining, steel and road construction clients. DTE noticed that some of its clients were experiencing favorable economic conditions, but they had to wait over 18 months for new equipment to be delivered. Additionally, other clients in tougher economic markets were experiencing severe budget cuts for new machinery. As a result, both of these types of clients were turning to remanufacturing of the complete machine as a potential solution that offers both faster delivery and lower costs than purchasing new machinery.

On average, DTE has found that its customers save approximately 60 percent by remanufacturing the complete power train group (Transmission / Torque Converter, Differential, Axle and Brake group) instead of purchasing all new equipment. To ensure the highest quality possible, DTE conducts its remanufacturing for all divisions in the same facility. The firm's consistent output of high-quality remanufactured products has generated a large, loyal customer following.

"The addition of the DTE Power Gear Group has been a work in progress for several years and is simply a natural expansion of our business. We firmly believe that DTE's impressive growth is a direct result of the continued effort of our dedicated employees to supply premier remanufactured goods to our customers," says Horvath.
