Final Exam Scheduling One of Many New Features in Version 2.0 of System Which Also Streamlines Meeting and Event Management


DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - October 16, 2008) - Dean Evans & Associates (www.dea.com) has released Version 2.0 of their EMS Campus (www.dea.com/solutions/campus/) academic scheduling and meeting/event management software. The system, in use at a growing number of higher education sites, provides complete campus scheduling, from course schedule coordination to meeting space management and special event planning and execution.

Enhancements in EMS Campus Version 2.0 include:

--  Final exam scheduling, including common and special exam options
--  Classroom optimization by department, allowing the course schedule to
    be built in stages
--  Ability to pre-assign courses to rooms prior to optimization
--  Eight new reports, including Classroom Utilization, Department
    Statistics, Unmet Preferences and Course Type Analysis
--  User Defined Fields for soliciting additional information from
    departments
--  New features in all scheduling tools (Reservation Wizard, Navigator,
    Reservation Book)
    

In all, more than 300 development items -- from academic scheduling enhancements to new meeting and event management functionality -- were completed for the latest release. Many of the new features were suggested by early adopters of EMS Campus. Customer feedback, the company says, has been instrumental in their ability to provide a system that is more user-friendly and feature-rich with each release.
