Death of an Inmate at Archambault Institution-Medium Security Unit

On January 23, 2015 Jean-Yves Poulin, an inmate at Archambault institution, died at the institutional hospital in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines.

At the time of his death, Mr. Poulin, 74 years old, had been serving since January 10, 2001 a life sentence for conspiracy to commit crime.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
