Death of an Inmate at Bowden Institution

INNISFAIL, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Dec. 2, 2013) - On December 1, 2013, Barry Bryan Schacker, an inmate at Bowden Institution died at a local hospital in Innisfail.

At the time of his death, Mr. Schacker, 65 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for Second Degree Murder since March 22, 2007.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
