Death of an Inmate at Regional Reception Centre-Multi-Level Security Unit

On January 22, 2015, Paul Brouillette, an inmate at the Regional Reception Centre, at Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, died at Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital, in Laval.

At the time of his death, Mr. Brouillette, 76 years old, had been serving a sentence of 4 years since December 4, 2014 for sex offences.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
