Death of an Inmate at Stony Mountain Institution

On June 16, 2014, Gregory Gordon Park, an inmate at Stony Mountain Institution died at a local hospital in Winnipeg.

At the time of his death, Mr. Park, 57 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for Second Degree Murder since October 1, 1980.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
