Death of an Inmate at Willow Cree Healing Lodge

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - Dec. 6, 2013) - On December 4, 2013, Kenneth Lawrence Obey, an inmate at Willow Cree Healing Lodge died at a local hospital in Regina.

At the time of his death, Mr. Obey, 56 years old, had been serving a sentence of 2 years, 8 months for Impaired Driving and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Disqualified since June 20, 2013.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
