Death of an Inmate of La Macaza Institution

LA MACAZA, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 23, 2013) - On October 22, 2013, Pierre Paquette, an inmate of La Macaza Institution died at the hospital of Archambault Institution in Ste-Anne-des Plaines.

At the time of his death, Mr Pierre Paquette, 64 years old, had been serving a life sentence for second degree murders since July 12, 1977.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
