Death of an Inmate of the Federal Training Centre-Multi-Level Security Unit

On June 28, 2016 Robert Harvey, an inmate of the Federal Training Centre, a penitentiary in Laval, died at the hospital of Archambault Institution in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines.

At the time of his death, Mr. Harvey, 57 years old, had been serving since July 6, 2011 a sentence of 8 years for a number of offences including robbery and break and enter.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
