Deborah Luxenberg to Participate in DC Bar Program on Community Property

BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwire - March 15, 2010) - Deborah Luxenberg, founder and senior partner of Luxenberg, Johnson & Dickens, PC, and Jane Moretz Edmisten, Esquire, Trusts and Estates Professor, The George Washington University Law School will present "Community Property for the East Coast Practitioner," a session hosted by the District of Columbia Bar Association on March 18th at 12 pm. Paul Pearlstein, Esquire, and program co-chair and a member or the Steering Committee of the Estates Trusts & Probate (EP&T) section of the District of Columbia Bar, which is sponsoring this program along with the Family Law Section of the DC Bar, will moderate the session. It will take place at the offices of the District of Columbia Bar and is open to EP&T and Family Law section members, non-members and students for a nominal fee that includes lunch.

Ms. Luxenberg and Ms. Edmisten will share insights on what attorneys need to know to advise clients in such areas as divorce, estate planning, prenuptial agreements, and taxes. The session will focus on how to assist clients who may be moving between community property states and non-community property states, including details related to key documents, such as wills, and pre-nuptial agreements.
