Decade Resources Ltd.: New Copper-Gold Discovery on the Prince John Prospect

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 27, 2011) - Decade Resources Ltd. ("Decade" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:DEC) reports it has received assay results for the first hole drilled on its 100% owned Prince John prospect, part of the extensive Premier East property in Northwestern British Columbia.

Highlights include 20.58 metres of 0.62% copper and 0.63 g/t gold.

The Prince John is a gold/copper prospect, located approximately 5 kilometres north of the town of Stewart, British Columbia, along the west slope of the Bear River valley. Several malachite stained outcrops and 2 short adits mark the area of this previously undrilled prospect. The outcrops are in a large area covered by dense alders, shrubs and small hemlock patches approximately 800 metres above sea level. The adits exposed on a steep hillside are inaccessible due to caving. Sampling from exposed malachite stained outcrops over an area 40 metres in diameter gave the following values:

Sample No. Sample Type Cu % Au g/t
R-LK-61 Select Grab 1.09 0.395
R-LK-62 Select Grab 1.97 0.377
R-KP-166 Select Grab 1.63 0.062
R-KP-167 Select Grab 2.29 0.29

To date, a total of 8 drill holes have been completed to intersect below, northeast and southwest of the exposed outcrops. The first hole was lost at 90.85 metres in strong copper mineralization including fine grained chalcopyrite, bornite and minor pyrite. Local andesite dykes and a late stage syenite dyke was intersected in the drill hole. Results of this first hole are as follows:

DDH No. From (m) To (m) Width (m) Au g/t Cu %
DDH-PJ-1 5.49 11.59 6.1 0.15 0.14
and 23.78 29.82 6.04 0.05 0.18
and 42.07 55.49 13.41 0.15 0.33
and 70.27 90.85 20.58 0.63 0.62

Only assays greater than 0.1% copper are shown in the above table. Between 55.49 and 70.27 metres, a syenite dyke cuts through the mineralization.

All samples were assayed by AGAT Laboratories of Mississauga, Ontario and Loring Laboratories of Calgary, Alberta.

Red Cliff and Cranberry Update

To date, the Company has completed 40 holes testing the Upper Montrose zone. The drill is being moved to a site that will allow testing of the zone 200 metres south of the present drilling and approximately 100 metres lower in elevation. Intersections in this area will confirm a 2007 drill hole that indicated the southwest extension of the upper Montrose zone.

In Manitoba, the Company has completed prospecting and location of all historical showings as well as discovery of wide zones of sulphides. Approximately 200 samples from old trenches, new showings and 2011 channel sampling have been submitted for assaying.
