Decker Communications Experiences 48 Percent Revenue Growth

New York Office Opens to Meet Communication Training Needs of East Coast Businesses

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - February 15, 2011) - Decker Communications Inc., the expert in consulting and training businesses in communications, today announced the company's revenue grew 48 percent in 2010. The sizeable growth is attributed to the increasing demand for communications training in both high-stakes and everyday communications. To meet the growing needs of businesses, Decker has expanded its sales efforts and staff, hired additional program leaders, and opened an office in New York to better serve East Coast businesses. Decker has also expanded its service offerings to include additional customized programs such as training executives for sales kick-offs and the Decker Made to Stick Messaging Program.

"We are seeing a growing demand for communications training in all types of companies such as healthcare, technology, and finance. After executives have completed our Communicate to Influence program other professionals within the organization see the immediate benefit and are signing-up," said Ben Decker, president of Decker Communications. "The commitment to change communication behaviors is greater than we have experienced in previous years. Traditionally, executives have sought training for high-stakes presentations, but now professionals recognize the importance of communicating effectively to all of the people they touch on a daily basis, whether it is employees, clients, partners, or prospective customers."

Decker expects revenues to grow 30 percent in 2011. This growth will be largely driven by additional business in the East Coast, more customized offerings, and increased need for other programs offered by Decker, including the Decker Made to Stick Messaging Program.

New York office led by communications expert
The Decker New York office will serve the communications training needs of East Coast businesses and will be run by Eastern Region Director Jonathan Willard. Willard has nearly two decades of strategic communications and advisory experience. As a native of New York, he has an extensive network of contacts throughout the East Coast.

"Having spent my entire career in communications, I've witnessed that organizations traditionally have spent far too much time and money in communications strategy, and not enough time in execution. However, I'm starting to see a shift where corporations now understand that the quality of their employees' communication largely dictates the results they achieve," said Jonathan Willard, eastern region director at Decker. "Decker's programs result in more confident, credible, and persuasive communicators who get others to act upon their messages. Stronger communicators make for stronger businesses."

Willard has worked extensively in the areas of organizational communications, brand strategy and activation, leadership communications, and performance improvement for an array of the world's most admired organizations. Prior to joining Decker, Willard held senior-level communications roles with JWT, Bonfire Communications, and New York Consulting Partners. Willard graduated from State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
